Challenge

Google has multiple standalone products that help people plan trips, but these products aren’t organized or easily discoverable. Products like flight and hotel search help people book their travel, but don’t inspire people to come back.

solution

We launched Destinations, a full-screen travel guide on mobile and desktop. The guide integrated products like flight and hotel search, while featuring editorial content for top travel destinations to help people decide where to go and what to see.

My contributions

  • Developed content strategy for city itineraries, which included ~150-word descriptions of top destinations and "when to visit" information

  • Created editorial guidelines and trained the broader content writing team to scale coverage

  • Wrote and edited editorial content, and curated metadata for top sights
